Purpose of center: | The Center for Marine Biotechnology fosters and promotes inter-institutional, interdisciplinary basic and applied research in a wide variety of groundbreaking areas of science and technology. It builds upon the extraordinary success of the Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences, which has become an internationally recognized marine science institution. Our vision is that the center will build strong, new collaborations among other academic units within Rutgers and other academic institutions that will significantly enhance the economic prospects and environmental quality for the state. |
