Purpose of center: | The Center is a consortium of nuclear scientists brought together to study the properties of and reactions on radioactive isotopes of atomic nuclei that are important for basic nuclear physics, astrophysics and nuclear stockpile stewardship. The experimental efforts are focused at the Holifield Radioactive Ion Beam Facility of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. |
