Purpose of center:
The National Center for Public Performance (NCPP) at Rutgers University is a research and public service organization devoted to improving public sector performance. Founded in 1975, the National Center is a vehicle for the study, dissemination and recognition of performance measurement and improvement initiatives in government; a national Network on Performance Measurement & Reporting; research on E-Governance and the evolution of municipal websites; studies of shared services; and online performance measurement systems and training. Affiliated faculty and NCPP staff are available to provide technical assistance, deliver web-based instruction and on-site professional trainings, and program assessments. The National Center for Public Performance serves as a resource to the state of New Jersey and nationwide.
