Purpose of center: | The principal mission is research, but education and training programs in health and mental health research are provided for postdoctoral trainees and graduate and undergraduate students. An interdisciplinary faculty examines critical health and mental health issues sharing concepts, perspectives and methods across disciplines. Institute investigators have become recognized leaders in their fields both nationally and internationally. Their efforts are central to advancing health behaviors, treatments, innovations and health care reform. |
