Purpose of center:
The Center of Alcohol Studies (CAS) is a multidisciplinary center dedicated to the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge about alcohol and drugs, using cutting-edge biological, genetic, psychological, neuroscience, and sociocultural paradigms. A main mission of CAS is to improve addiction research, education, training, and information dissemination to increase understanding of alcohol and drug effects on behavior and health, and to reduce stigma and improve the lives of persons affected by their unhealthy use.
